I may be LGBTQ…now what?

  • Don’t most people figure this stuff out when they’re a teenager?

You’ve spent some if not all your life wondering if you fully understand yourself. You wonder if other people feel and think the way you do. You just went along with what you were told or what others assumed about you. You may accept that others are LGBTQIA+, but you struggle to accept this in yourself. You’ve started to explore the possibilities, but then you’re scared by what they could mean. You may judge yourself for not knowing yourself better or earlier. You want to lean more into your true self, but wonder what this could look like. You know who you are, but you’re scared to share this with others.

  • Where do I even start?

You know you want to make a change. Something doesn’t feel quite right, but you’re afraid to take the wrong step and blow up your life. You have a lot of questions, few answers, but you’re afraid to talk to others and be judged—or worse, rejected.

  • Therapy may be for you if:

•You thought you were straight your whole life, but you’re starting to wonder if this has ever been true

•You’re questioning your gender or whether gender is even something that matters to you

•You want to express your gender in a way that is different than how you have previously or how others expect you to, but you’re afraid

•You know you are queer, trans, or gender non-conforming, but you’re not sure how to share this with others or express these identities outwardly

•You question whether you experience sexual attraction at all and want to explore this

•You’re out, but not feeling as comfortable with your identities as you thought you would

  • Let's Get Started!

In our work together, we can explore your thoughts, feelings, ideas, goals and needs as it comes to your identities in a safe, non-judgmental space. In our sessions, we will pinpoint what you can shift to feel more at home in yourself and your relationships. As we build a relationship with each other, I will gently challenge you to gain insight or build confidence in change-making, but you will set the pace for change as you are the ultimate expert in what you need. I am here to remind you that you deserve to be yourself and have the life that feels safe and supportive to you.
